Thursday's Daily Bible Verse: "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out." (Jesus, Luke 14:34, 35, NIV)

Thursday’s Daily Bible Verse: “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.” (Jesus, Luke 14:34, 35, NIV)

PURPOSE is defined as following:

“The object toward which one strives or for which something exists; an aim or a goal”

Salt has a PURPOSE in life. And that purpose is to season foods and make them taste good… as well as to preserve food. In fact, when you look at everything else in this universe that God created — it ALL has some kind of purpose (or master plan) to it existing.

You also have a purpose my friend. You are not here by accident or mistake… God knew the very day and the hour that you would come into an existence… and you have an ULTIMATE purpose in this life, and before you breathe your last breath… you should make it your goal to (1) Find Your Purpose… and (2) Fulfill Your Purpose.

If you lose your PURPOSE in life… or WORSE, never find the purpose of your life… then life can become utterly meaningless. You owe it to yourself, to others, to this world, and to the future generations of your family to FIND and FULFILL your purpose in life.

“How do I find my purpose in life?” you may ask. Great question! There are many methods to find it — but I believe at the top of the list is the following:

What causes are out there that grieve your heart… that you feel like you can make a difference in?

EXAMPLES – Does it absolutely crush you when you hear of a baby being aborted? Do you absolutely hate seeing the homeless rate in your city or town go up? Do you have a heart towards inner-city youth?

Do you have anymore methods of finding PURPOSE… or have any questions, comments on this post? Then please feel free to leave them below.

TUESDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: "The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath." (Luke 6:7, NIV)

TUESDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: “The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.” (Luke 6:7, NIV)

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. I hope you are having a BLESSED Tuesday.

In today’s daily bible verse, Jesus was about to heal the withered hand of an old man. The Pharisees and the other leaders of the religious sects were OFFENDED that Jesus would “break” their man-made laws.

(Their law in this instance was this: You can’t heal a person on the Sabbath day… because you are not supposed to work on the Sabbath day, and healing someone is working, hence it’s a sin! lol)

The Pharisees at this point in time, had set up MANY religious laws that were meant to make them “look holy and righteous” on the outside… but in the end, many were empty, shallow... and even down-right dirty to impose on people and burden them with.

While there is nothing at all wrong with having good traditions, man-made rules, etc… it becomes a HUGE problem when people allow man-made traditions, laws and rules to supercede and trump the very heart of God.

So Jesus asks these religious leaders is it LAWFUL for a person to do a good work on the Sabbath. The stiff-lipped Pharisees don’t answer out of their selfish pride and arrogance… and Jesus proceeds to heal the man. Now you know this didn’t make Him any friends with the Pharisees — in fact they tried to kill Him! (To their benefit… at least they didn’t try to do that ‘work’ on a Sabbath)

In life… we will have those who hate us, those who despise us, and those who come against us for NO reason at all… and all you can do is accept that as a fact, and roll with the punches.

But when people DO come at you and DO accuse you… don’t prove them right by the actions you take and by the words that you speak.

What I mean by this saying is this, for example: If you have an enemy that says that you are a no-good, dirty, so and so… don’t prove them right by acting a fool and cursing them out in front of everybody.

Your negative actions that you thought were justified have just proven your enemy to be right about what they just said about you!

Choose to walk on the high road and ABOVE your enemies. They can talk bad all they want about you — but in the end, the actions that you do (or don’t do) in open and behind closed doors SHOW you to be a blameless and clean child of God… because you choose not to bow down to the same level as the fools who accuse you falsely.

No matter how much you want to get even, or defend yourself, or pay back those people that go out to INTENTIONALLY hurt you in front of others… be like Jesus and turn the other cheek. Don’t add fuel to the flame by seeking revenge out on them… but instead douse out the fire with the anointing that God has poured upon your life.

Any comments, thoughts or questions? Please leave them below. Have a blessed day and see you tomorrow!

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. I hope your Thursday is starting out GREAT for you.

Today’s daily bible verse comes is a promise of encouragement and strength to us… in the time of our adversity and trouble, straight from the mouth of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus told this promise to his disciples (that He would send them the Comforter)… He was on the fringes of allowing himself to be turned over to the Roman and religious authorities of His time, so that He could complete His mission and purpose in life – Taking up our sicknesses and diseases on his body through the punishment He endured at the hands of brutal men… and dying an excruciating death on the cross as the ULTIMATE payment for our sins.

His disciples had walked with Jesus for the past 3 years… and I can imagine how SHOCKED they were when they started to see things unravel, and it became clear to them that Jesus was going to die (and not lead a GREAT Jewish revolt to overthrow the Roman empire as they had initially thought)

These disciples were sad. They were angry. They were dismayed. They were confused. They felt lost knowing their leader would soon leave them. They were frustrated at the fact that they had left their homes, businesses, family and life to follow this man… who was about to leave them.

These feelings the disciples had are ALL human feelings, which we ALL will feel at different times in our lives. Anyone who claims NOT to have those feelings and emotions is a liar — no ifs, ands, or buts.

But I am glad that in spite of the fact that my emotions and feelings may change like the weather… that God ALWAYS remains consistent and the same.

The Holy Spirit has come to us to be our COMFORTER in the times of our discomfort and loneliness. He will lead us, guide us, empower us, and encourage us in our times of despair… and no matter what is going on in your life at this moment of time… God is FAITHFUL and He is JUST to get you through, whatever you are going through.

DECLARATION OF FAITH: “Thank you Jesus for leaving me the Holy Spirit as my Comforter, as my Encourager, and as my Guide in life. I will remain positive-minded today… and I will be of good cheer TODAY, no matter what things look like. Because this one thing I know — You are faithful to get me through ANY and ALL situations in life!”

Have a GREAT day today… and to read more about the Holy Spirit, click here. If you have any questions, comments or thoughts on today’s message… please leave them below.

TUESDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Paul, Hebrews 10:25, NIV)

TUESDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Paul, Hebrews 10:25, NIV)

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. Happy Tuesday to you friend, wherever in the world you are located at!

Today’s daily bible verse comes from the book of Hebrews… and teaches us WHY we should not “give up meeting together”… or as some versions of the Bible say, “not forsaking the assembly of the saints”.

Let’s start out by looking at this age-old question that many people ask: “Do I need to go to church in order to be saved?”, and my answer to this is “No, you don’t.”

The Bible tells us that our salvation is dependant on us (1) Believing that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and (2) Confessing Him as our Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9, 10).

So the next question a “wise” person would ask is this: “If my salvation isn’t based on going to church, then WHY should I go?”. I suppose this is an honest question, as many of us work long work weeks, and are tired, and would love to do nothing more than relax and have our weekends all to ourselves.

But the Scripture answers this question on why we should go. We go to church (or other places where Christian brothers & sisters congregate) for ENCOURAGEMENT. It doesn’t really matter if you go on a Sunday, a Saturday, a Friday evening, Monday, etc. (Colossians 2:16)… just go baby, go!

When you get around other like-minded people (in this case, people of the same faith)… your life, walk, and talk will be influenced by them. This is the reality of things.

If you ALWAYS hang around a group of people that gossip, you will become a gossiper by nature. If you hang around millionaires, your wealth and bank account will start to show that over time. If you hang around people that knock off liquor stores and tag buildings with spray-paint at night… you too will become an expert hoodlum.

And if you hang around those who are Kingdom-minded people, walk in love and power and authority of Jesus Christ, and do right by other people… guess what you’ll begin to look like and act like? That’s right — you’ll be walking in that SAME Kingdom-mindest; in love, power and authority.

This is a rough world we live in… and everyday we are influenced by negative people, advertisements, news and Satanic influences. We NEED encouragement, every last one of us… including myself. (And trust me, you don’t want to see what I look like after I’ve been out of church for a month!)

We owe it to ourselves to NEVER stop meeting up with other brothers and sisters of the same faith as we are… because that is what keeps us going.

The other things off the top of my head that we benefit from the assembly of the saints are below:

1. Encouragement (already discussed)
2. Prayer for our health, homes, family, business, etc.
3. Develop Spiritually (from good Bible-based teaching)
4. Develop in Our Own Ministry

Be blessed today friend… and have an AWESOME day in the Lord today!

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. Happy Friday to you friend, wherever in the world you are located at! Today’s daily bible verse comes from Joyce Meyer.

You can spend your entire life dealing with the bad fruit (the outward behavior), but it will come out somewhere else if the root-or cause of the behavior-has not been taken care of. Freedom often requires digging deeper than may be comfortable.

Joyce Meyer

DECLARATION OF FAITH: I will not be afraid to confront myself and my emotions which are inside of me… because I know they reflect on my outwardly actions. In Jesus’ name, I will walk today in discipline, strength and LOVE… and my actions will be a positive reflection for the Kingdom of God.

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. I hope you are having a BLESSED day today.

Today’s daily bible verse deals with accepting yourself and also loving yourself the way that God made you. In it, David praised God and gave Him the glory… because in spite of the fact that at that time in his life, armies were beseiging him and it seemed like everybody and their momma wanted him dead… he knew he was “fearfully and wonderfully made”.

In life, it pays to be DIFFERENT and walk your own walk. Never be ashamed to be the UNIQUE person that God created you to be.

Don’t try to be like everybody else. If God made you short, you’re short… if he made you tall, you’re tall. If he made you on the large or the tiny side (and you’re still healthy), accept that. Don’t be jealous of other people’s God-given gifts or looks. Some people He blessed with athletic abilities, or with awesome speaking abilities, or with the ability to sing like an angel from heaven.

Instead of trying to be like everyone else… be glad for that other person and their wonderful gift, and be even happier that God has blessed YOU with your own unique set of marvelous talents and gifts. Focus on those gifts that He has given you, and work at making them better — so that you can be the BEST at what you do!

As individuals we have to accept & LOVE our traits & qualities (minus the sinful ones)… and KNOW that we all are children who are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image & likeness of Almighty God… and not try to make our lives rough by trying to “be like everybody else”

God NEVER made any junk, He never made any mistakes when He made you and you are definitely NOT an accident. Even if you weren’t planned by your parents, it was still a part of God’s plan that your parents would meet up for at least that moment of conception to create the perfect creation of God… YOU! Simply put, your parents had NO choice but to meet up at Motel 6, and… well, you get the point!

You are made in the image and likeness of God, and NEVER forget that as you go throughout your day today. Did you know that to think that God made a mistake when He made you… is like you slapping God in the face, and telling Him He doesn’t know what He’s doing? Be glad today in everything and be blessed in your walk.

DECLARATION OF FAITH: “I will praise you and give you the glory God because I AM fearfully and wonderfully made in your image Lord! I know that when you made me, you didn’t make any junk or use any leftovers. Thank you for the gifts that you have BLESSED me with… and for creating me to be me, and like no one else. I am a unique individual and in this, I will be glad!”

Please feel free to leave any questions, comments down below… and we’ll see you tomorrow!

TUESDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” (King Solomon, Proverbs 14:23).

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. I hope you are having an EXCELLENT Tuesday today.

The daily bible verse comes from one of the greatest books of wisdom, the book of Proverbs.

In it Solomon talks about how HARD WORK brings you in a profit (or a surplus)… but just merely TALKING about doing something great (and then not doing it), will lead you to poverty.

My translation of this verse is this: “Stop talking a good game about becoming wealthy, starting a biz, writing a book, doing great things, etc… AND actually put a plan in action… and you can start watching the dollars roll in and watch your dreams become a reality!”

In life, the people that are actually doing for themselves, family, community and future generations don’t waste their time doing a lot of “big” talk to others about what they’re going to do and how they’re going to accomplish it… no, the people that are catapulting themselves to the top and reaching their God-given potential, are too busy actually doing the work that gets them to the top… so they don’t have time to talk too much.

Their actions speak louder than their words

The people in life who succeed may not be the wisest people, or the most gifted people, or the wealthiest people, or the most attractive people. But the ones who do succeed, are those who ALWAYS have an unstoppable determination… and an unyielding tenacity that by any means necessary, they will accomplish the vision and goals that God has placed in their heart!

If you want to do something great in life, that’s awesome! My next question to you would be this. What’s stopping you? Put hard work into your projects, study it out, research it out, learn, search out people that can help you to attain your vision, formulate a plan… and then WORK your plan and watch — in the end, ALL the pieces will fall into place.

Questions, comments or ideas? Please feel free to leave them below. Have a GREAT day today you winner… and we’ll see you tomorrow!

MONDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: "Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near." (The prophet Isaiah, Isaiah 55:6)

MONDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” (The prophet Isaiah, Isaiah 55:6)

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. Happy Friday to you friend, wherever in the world you are located at! If you live in a part of the world that celebrated Mother’s Day this past Sunday, I hope you had a GREAT one!

The daily bible verse and motivation for today comes from Pastor Rod Parsley:

Many Christians say that they long for a closer walk with God and that they desire to hear from Him. Yet each time they need answers or they have a problem they turn to friends, relatives, therapists or talk show hosts before they seek God.

Sometimes God does not even appear on the list. Yet the answers to their problems can be found at the throne of God.

Do you really desire God? Do you seek him daily? Do you commune with Him often? Do you meditate on His Word? Do you listen when He speaks?

The proof of desire is in the pursuit!

Luke 15:8-10 tells of a woman who lost a coin. She diligently searched for it—she had an earnest desire to find it. When she did find it, she called her neighbors to rejoice with her. She delighted in finding her lost coin.

As Christians we should have this same desire for the Lord. We should seek Him daily, continually, diligently…and as we do we should delight in Him, sharing our joy with friends and family—then God will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalms 37:4).

DECLARATION OF FAITH: “Today Lord, I will seek you FIRST in all my problems and decisions, large and small. I know that you have the answers and the key to every puzzle… and in You Lord, I can do no wrong… in Jesus’ name!”

Have a GREAT Monday, and see you tomorrow!

FRIDAY’S DAILY BIBLE VERSE: “You intended to harm me, BUT God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Joseph, Genesis 50:20, NIV)

Welcome back to the Daily Bible Coach, where we give you 5 minutes of personal development and inspiration EACH morning… from a biblical perspective. Happy Friday to you friend, wherever in the world you are located at! It’s the end of the work week for most, and I hope you had a BLESSED week.

Below is a quote that came into my heart earlier this week… that I placed in my Facebook status update…

REMEMBER: In life, nobody owes you ANYTHING. Once you realize this fact, you will NEVER stay disappointed at anyone or any rough spot you encounter in life!

Read it again… and again… and again… and when you get tired of reading that quote, read it one more time, until your eyes pop out of your head -or- it gets ingrained in your spirit.

Because in this life, people WILL disappoint you. People WILL drop the ball. People WILL hurt you. People WILL say hurtful and harmful things to tear down your good name. People WILL step on your head in order to climb the corporate ladder or get ahead. People WILL cheat you!

…so I’m not telling you anything new, because if you’ve lived in this world any longer than 10 days… you already know that it’s not all peaches and cream, bubble gum, and cotton candy. This is a dog eat dog world — and people WILL do cruel things to you, and many times, for no reason.

But in spite of the fact that there are people out there on your road of life who MEAN to harm you and they MEAN to hurt you… we should be GLAD and thankful that as a son or daughter of the most High King that we are on a collision path with our God given destiny… and we have yet to reach our highest potential in Him!

In spite of the fact that there are people who seek to wrong us and cheat us, be GLAD that God knows the plans that He has for you… and those plans are meant to prosper you and do NO harm to you, but they give you HOPE and a FUTURE! (Jeremiah 29:11)

Joseph knew disappointment more than ANY of us, but he didn’t dwell on it and he didn’t allow it (or the 13 years of hell he went through) to tear down his self worth. At the age of 17, when most of us were concerned with having clear skin… Joseph was thrown into a pit by his brothers who intended to kill him… but later they “kindly” decided to just sell him into slavery. DISAPPOINTMENT!

He was bought by a wealthy man named Potiphar and promoted to run his household, but unfortunately for Joseph, Potiphar’s wife LOVED her some nice, juicy, Hebrew young men… and when he rejected her sexual advances… the wife told Potiphar that Joseph tried to rape her… and Joseph found himself thrown in a dirty, nasty prison. DISAPPOINTMENT!

In prison, Joseph found favor and was promoted to head of the prisoners. He correctly interpretted some dreams for some of Pharoah’s officials who were also thrown in there… with the promise that when one of the officials got out of prison… he would REMEMBER what Joseph did and tell the Pharoah of his plight… so that Joseph would be released.

That day didn’t happen for YEARS… and Joseph continued to rot in prison until one day FAVOR found Joseph. He was released from prison and through a series of unlikely events, he was promoted to the #2 spot of leadership and wealth in the whole land of Egypt.

At the end of the day… because of Joseph’s high position, he was able to save his whole family from starving to death during a season of severe famine. He was also reunited with his humbled brothers who had “intended to harm him”, but really God had used their evil actions for “the good and for the saving of many lives”

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Don’t stay disappointed at people… because at the end of the day, no one owes you a thing… and when it comes down to it God can use the evil, harmful actions of people… to accomplish GREAT things in your life!

Have a GREAT weekend and see you next Monday!
